    Miftah Ismail
    Chairman
    Profile of Mr. Miftah Ismail
    Miftah Ismail holds a PhD in Public Finance and Political Economy from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. A professional economist, he worked at the IMF before coming back to Pakistan. He is now Director of Ismail Industries Ltd, Pakistan’s largest confectionery company, comprising Candyland (confectionery), Bisconni (biscuits), Snackcity (snacks) and Astropack (CPP film). He is also a Director of Astroplastics (Pvt) Ltd, Delmare Foods and Pakistan International Airlines Corporation. He is the President of Karachi American School, and is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Institute of Business Administration and has also been a visiting faculty member at the I.B.A.
    Khalid Rahman
    Managing Director
    Mr. Khalid Rahman has been appointed as Managing Director of Sui Southern Gas Company by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources w.e.f. January 2015. Mr. Khalid Rahman’s professional experience spans over 35 years in senior management positions in oil and gas and banking industries and the accounting profession in Pakistan and abroad, including Europe and Far East. He worked in United Kingdom and Hong Kong for 17 years, handling regional responsibilities. He worked in Pakistan Petroleum Limited for around 20 years in various senior management positions including Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. His last position was with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan as the Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Khalid has also served on various professional and business forums. He was a Council Member of ICAP and served on the Boards of Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LUMS, PIP, Petroleum Exploration and Production Companies Association and Community Development Board of Government of Sindh. Recently he has been honored to represent Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan on the Advisory Compliance Panel of International Federation of Accountants. Mr. Khalid is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant in England and Wales, Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan and Ontario Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants and an alumnus of the Graduate Business School, Stanford University and Kellogg Graduate School of Management, North Western University.
    Agha Sher Shah

    Agha Sher Shah is currently Chairman and Chief Executive of Bandhi Sugar Mills. Prior to his current role, he was Senior Portfolio Manager of a multi-billion dollar portfolio in Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world. Mr. Shah started his career as an investment analyst covering consumer, energy and finance sectors of the S&P 500 in the US equity market. In his investment career of 24 years at ADIA he has held senior portfolio management positions in US and Global equities. He has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Rice University and holds a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.

    Qazi Mohammad Saleem Siddiqui

    Qazi Mohammad Saleem Siddiqui graduated from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    He was associated with the sugar industry for about five years before joining government service in November 1990. Since then, he has held various positions in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, leading to his current post as Director General (Gas).

    Mr. Siddiqui is also a director on the board of Mari Petroleum Company Limited. He has also served as Director on the Boards of Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited. He is also member of Board of Governors of SAARC & Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan.

    Member of the Internal Revenue Service with 32 years of Public Sector experience.Presently serving as Additional Finance Secretary (CF), Finance Division, Islamabad since September, 2012 todate.Earlier served as Member (Strategic, Research & Policy) in Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.Served as Member Directing Staff in National Defence University, Islamabad. Served as Chief (TTRM Wing) in Federal Board of Revenue, Islamabad. Served as Commissioner (TFC/TP) in Large Taxpayers Unit, FBR, Islamabad. Served as Commercial Counselors, Embassy of Pakistan, Rome and Maxico.Served as Deputy Secretary (Economic & Finance Wing) in Prime Minister’s Secrctariat, Islamabad Served in various admnistrative and revenue assignments in the Federal Board of Revenue, Islamabad.Hold Master’s degree in Defence & Strategic Studies from National Defence University. Has received several trainings in Public Sector Management.
    Muhammad Bilal Shaikh

    Mr. Bilal Sheikh is a seasoned banker with more than 48 years of diversified experience to his credit since 1967. He has done his M.Com. from Punjab University & passed Banking Diploma Examination in 1969 and is also a Fellow of Institute of Bankers, Pakistan since 1994. He was also one of the Council Members of the Institute of Bankers, Pakistan in 1998-1999. He has been the President/CEO of various scheduled commercial banks for the last 17 years since 1998 and presently holding the position of President/CEO of Sindh Bank Limited since November, 2010, which is the only government owned commercial bank in the country. Prior to assuming charge of President/CEO, Sindh Bank, Mr. Sheikh served as President & CEO, Mybank Limited, PICIC Commercial Bank Limited, Chairman, National Development Finance Corporation (NDFC) and Deputy Managing Director, PICIC Limited. He is amongst the only few bankers who have headed various banks as CEO for 17 years. He has also been the Vice Chairman, Pakistan Banks Association. During his 48 years of banking career, he has served on the Boards of various World Bank financed Energy Projects, IPPs, including HUBCO. He was also on the Boards of OGDC & PIDC. He was also a member of high powered Committee constituted by the Government of Pakistan for Revival of Sick Units in the country. Presently, besides directorships of SSGCL & Sindh Bank, he is also the Director & Group Chairman on the Boards of Directors of (1) Sindh Leasing Company Limited (2) Sindh Insurance Limited & (3) Sindh Modaraba Management Limited. All these three companies are fully owned by Government of Sindh.
    Mirza Mahmood Ahmad

    Mr. Mirza Mahmood Ahmad is a highly reputed advocate and is a partner at the prestigious law firm “Minto & Mirza, Advocates and Solicitors”. His professional career as a lawyer spans over 24 years in which he has provided invaluable services to the fields of corporate, constitutional, regulatory and banking laws. He has been involved with some of the most challenging litigation in these areas having represented several companies and firms before different regulatory authorities including the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority and the Karachi Stock Exchange. Mr. Ahmad has several publications/consultancies and research papers to his name including ‘Harmonizing the Code of Corporate Governance with other Laws/Regulations in Pakistan”, a research study for SECP funded by the UNDP. Mr. Mahmood also serves on the board of SNGPL as the chairman of the HR Committee as well as being the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Pakistan Engineering Company. Mr. Ahmad also serves on the Board of Directors of MCB-Arif Habib Investments Ltd. He is also a member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association as well as a member of the Punjab Bar Council. Mr. Ahmad has an LLM from the University of Cambridge. He has been a lecturer at Quaid-e-Azam Law College since 1996 and regularly conducts lectures at the Executive Development Center at LUMS as well as Director Training Sessions conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants Pakistan (ICAP).
    Mobin Saulat

    Mr. Mobin Saulat is the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer (CEO)at Inter State Gas Systems Pvt. Ltd (ISGS). Mr. Saulat assumed charge of his present position after being appointed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan in November 2012. Prior to becoming the MD, he served the company as its Deputy Managing Director and GM Finance and Commercial. Under him, ISGS has witnessed impressive growth becoming the first Pakistani company in the Energy Sector to negotiate, conclude and implement Trans national energy projects for the country. These include the Iran Pakistan (IP) and Turkmenistan Afghanistan India Pakistan (TAPI] Gas Pipelines He has successfully steered the tendering process of the Fast Track LNG Terminal Project and presently coordinating the LNG Procurement activities. Mr. Mobin Saulat has over 20 years of experience gained in both commercial and professional environments in Pakistan as well as abroad. He has served as the Company Secretary and Finance Director of the Islamabad Electric Supply Corporation (IESCO) Pvt. Ltd as Group Head Finance, Army Welfare Trust and Chief Financial Controller of the prestigious White Oil Pipeline project and Shashi Steel Pvt. Ltd where he was engaged in the EPC work of over $500 million and setting up Shashi Steel Mill. Mr. Saulat has served at Senior Managerial positions in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and UK. He is elected as the first Chairman of Board of Directors of TAPI (Pvt.) Limited formed by the Consortium of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India for the execution & operation of TAPI Pipeline Project. He also serves as Director on the Board of PIP. He is graduated from Punjab University, Fellow Member (FCMA) of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (U.K). In addition to his native Urdu, Mr. Saulat speaks English, Arabic and has working knowledge of Japanese. He is married and enjoys trekking, travelling and tennis in his spare time.

He is the owner of Charkohan Mining in Quetta and Royal Minerals corporation and KSN associates in Karachi. He is a Bachelor of Arts from University of Balochistan.

    Mr. Saleem Zamindar has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from Boston University, USA and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Durham University Business School, UK. He has over 21 years of experience across 4 countries in investment management, board level general management & international banking. He is a Certified company Director by the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and additionally also holds the globally prestigious Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors (loD) UK. Presently, he serves on the Board of Directors of several publicly listed & private limited companies. He is also the past President of the Rotary Club of Karachi, the largest and oldest Rotary Club in District 3271, and is a member of the Managing Committee of the Karachi Boat Club and a member of the Karachi Council on Foreign Relations. He has graduated from UET, Lahore in Petroleum and Gas Engineering. He has over 30 years of diversified experience in the Oil & Gas sector, especially in petroleum & gas engineering, production, joint ventures, leadership/ managerial skills and Human Resource Management. He has supervised execution of several critical oil & gas field development projects. Mr. Khan has attended extensive advance courses on Management, Production, Project Development and Petroleum Economics in USA, Canada and Oxford, UK. He has also attended numerous conferences and seminars inland and overseas. He also holds directorship on the boards of SSGC (LPG) Ltd. and State Petroleum Refining & Petrochemical Corporation (Pvt.) Ltd. (PERAC). He remained Director on the Board of Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) and has also served as Director on the Board of Pirkoh Gas Company Limited (PGCL). He is a certified director from Executive Development Centre (University of Lahore). He has authored/co-authored and presented several technical papers. He is an active member of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Petroleum Institute of Pakistan (PIP) and The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), USA.
    Ms. Nargis Ghaloo

    Ms. Nargis Ghaloo is the Chairperson of State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan and is also on the Board of Public & Private sector companies as a shareholders representative. She holds a Masters Degree in English from University of Sindh in the year 1981; subsequently she cleared the competitive examination in the year 1982. During her service at leading position on various organizations she participated in prestige courses such as “Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Workshop” Singapore, in 1992, “Executive Leadership Development Program” at John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, in 2005, “National Management Course” at National Management College Lahore, in 2009, “Public Sector Administration and Financial Management” at Singapore, in 2014. She is an officer of Federal Government in BS-22 and has formerly held the positions of Additional Secretary Cabinet Division, Government of Pakistan, DG President Secretariate, Secretary Women Development, Executive Director State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan. In addition she had also held various administrative assignments in Federal & Provincial Government.
    Mr. Shazad Dada

    Shazad Dada is the Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Ltd, effective 3 October 2014. Shazad is a graduate with honours from University of Pennsylvania with Bachelors of Science and Bachelors of Arts degrees, and also has an MBA from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a seasoned banker and a prominent capital markets professional, with over 25 years of diverse experience with renowned financial institutions in the United States and Pakistan. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, he was the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Barclays Pakistan. His experience spreads across Corporate, Investment and Retail Banking. Shazad was additionally the Head of Regional Transaction Services Steering Committee for Asia and India, UAE & Pakistan. He has also worked at the Deutsche Bank Securities Inc in New York for over 15 years in various capacities; last as the Managing Director in the Mergers, Acquisitions, and Corporate Advisory Group and was Head of Media M&A practice in the Americas. Moving back to Pakistan in late 2005 to head Deutsche Bank AG Pakistan as the Managing Director, Chief Country Officer and Head of Global Banking, Shazad has played an instrumental role in leading the turnaround of their Pakistan franchise. Shazad is on the Board of Trustees of Developments in Literacy (DIL) Pakistan and a member of the Board of Directors of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, The Karachi Stock Exchange and AISEC. He has held various senior level positions in the past, including Chairman of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange, Member Board of Governors of British Overseas School, Council Member of Institute of Bankers and also Pakistan Banks Association, where he has played a key role in shaping the overall banking industry in Pakistan to its current prominence. Besides this, Shazad is also associated with various reputed charitable organisations. He is an avid golfer with a keen interest in chess and a number of sports including tennis. Shazad is married to Samira and has three children, two sons and a daughter.
