What is a power supply? پهرئين سمجهون ته آخر پاور سپلاءِ آهي ڇا
A power supply is a device which delivers an exact voltage to another device as per its needs. هڪ اهڙي ڊوائز جيڪا گهربل اگزيڪٽ ولٽيج جهڙوڪ 12 وولٽ، 6 وولٽ، 9 وولٽ يا 4 ڏائي 5 وولٽ وغيره پئدا ڪي جنهن سان ڪا ٻي ڊوائز يا مشينري هلائي سگهجي.
There are many power supplies available today in the market like regulated, unregulated, variable etc, and the decision to pick the correct one depends entirely on what device you are trying to operate with the power supply. Power supplies, often called power adapters, or simply adapters, are available in various voltages, with varying current capacities, which is nothing but the maximum capacity of a power supply to deliver current to a load (Load is the device you are trying to supply power to). ماڪيٽ ۾ گهڻن ئي قسمن جو پاور سپلاءِ آسانيءَ سان دستياب آهن جيڪي يا ريگيوليٽيڊ يا ان ريگيوليٽيڊ يا وييايبل هونديون آهن ۽ توهان جي گهرج ته منحصر آهي ته توهان کي ڪهڙي قسم جي پاور سپلاءِ کپي. عمومن مارڪيٽ ۾ هنن کي آداپٽر چئبو آهي جنهن ۾ مختف ڪرنٽ ڪيپيسٽيز ٿين ٿيون جنهن جو مطلب آهي ته هو ڪنهن لوڊ تي ڪيترو گهڻو ڪرنٽ پُهچائي ٿي.
What you need?

Copper wires, with at least 1A current carrying capacity for AC mains
Step Down Transformer; 1N4007 Silica Diodes (×4)
1000µF Capacitor, 10µF Capacitor
Voltage regulator (78XX) (XX is the output voltage reqd. I’ll explain this concept later)
Soldering iron, Solder, General Purpose PCB
Adapter jack (to provide the output voltage to a device with a particular socket)
2 Pin plug

Same Basic Concepts related to Power Supplies Transformers

هي هڪ اهڙو پُرزو آهي جيڪو گهڻي ويليو واري اي سي ان پُٽ کي (يعني 220 وولٽ) کي گهربل گهٽ اي سي وولٽ (جهڙوڪ 12 يا 9 يا 6 يا 5.4 وغيره) ۾ ڪري ٿو. هن عمل کي اسٽيپ دائون عمل يا اسٽيپ ڊائون ٽرانفامر چئبو آهي
Transformers are devices which step down a relatively higher AC input Voltage into a lower AC output voltage. To find the input and output terminals of a transformer is very tricky. Refer to the following illustration or the internet to understand where what is.How it works
مين مان 220 وولٽ اي سي کڻي ٽرانسفارمر جي ان پُٽ تي وڌو وڃي ٿو جيڪو انهن اي سي وولٽس کي اسٽيپ ڊائون ڪري ٿو.
The AC mains are fed to the transformer, which steps down the 220 Volts to the desired voltage.هن ۾ هڪ ڌئن ڊائيوڊ سان (برج ريڪٽيفائر) جوڙي لڳايو ويو آهي جيڪو آئوٽ پُٽ جي اي سي وولٽ کي ڊي سي وولٽ ۾ تبديل ڪدو. ۽ پوءِ فلٽر ڪئپيسٽر جي مدد سان انهن جي رپل کي صاف ڪري خالص ڊي سي وولٽ حاصل ڪبا. The bridge rectifier follows the transformer thus converting AC voltage into a DC output and through a filtering capacitor feeds it directly into the input (Pin 1) of the voltage regulator. The common pin (Pin 2) of the voltage regulator is grounded. The output (Pin 3) of the voltage regulator is first filtered by a capacitor, and then the output is taken.
ڪنهن عام پي سي بي بورڊ تي ان سرڪٽ کي جوڙيو. Make the circuit on a general purpose PCB and use a 2 Pin (5A) plug to connect the transformer input to the AC mains via insulated copper wires. توهان پهئين ٻُڌايل گهربل مٽيريل لسٽ بازار مان آڻي پاڻ به ٺاهي سگهو ٿا.
If you want to power up a device you bought from the market, you need to solder your Power supply output to an adapter jack. This adapter jack comes in a variety of shapes and sizes and completely depends on your device. I have included a picture of the most common type of adapter jack.
